Made to Worship-Create

How do you experience God during the act of creation? In the first few words of the Bible, we read the famous words, “In the beginning, God created…”

Worship is a response and communication between our heart and the heart of God. One of the very first things that we learn about God is that He is the Creator. A few verses later, we read in the creation story that He said, “Let us make mankind in our image…” We are Imago Dei, made in the image of God. Everything we do, act, think, write, film, sing paint, shoot, dance and create can be a beautiful act of worship. We are made to create and made to worship the Creator. Not the creation.

As you begin your weekend of rest and hopefully, lots of re-creation, I hope you’ll be inspired by this short video my friend, Mark Perez and I created (Grove Films).

As you watch the video, I’d love your comments and responses. How can we do everything in our God-given strength to create works of art that reflect His goodness, beauty and truth? How do you experience God during the act of creation?
